At Kingscliff PS, we continually develop and strengthen our recognition and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ histories and cultures, for the benefit of all students, staff and the wider school community.
We value building strong connections and partnerships with Indigenous Elders, communities and organisations, including the Goodjinburra Peoples of the Bundjalung Nation. Working together, we create a future where diversity, inclusivity and reconciliation is at the forefront of our school community. By listening to community members, connecting to Country and celebrating cultural events, we are creating a respectful school environment. This enables future generations to know the true histories and cultures of the First Australians, so the mistakes of the past are never repeated.
We all walk this journey towards reconciliation together, as one. Everyone is welcome to join us, treading lightly on Country with footsteps ingrained with respect, truth and understanding.
