KIMP (Kingscliff Instrumental Music Program)

The Kingscliff Instrumental Music Program (K.I.M.P) is a wonderful way for your child to learn a musical instrument alongside their friends at school. Designed for students from Year 3 to Year 6, K.I.M.P offers instrumental lessons and the opportunity to join our vibrant Junior or Senior Concert Bands. Students in Year 2 can also join group keyboard lessons, providing an early start to their musical journey.

Learning to read and play music is immensely beneficial for brain development, as it engages multiple parts of the brain simultaneously. K.I.M.P is run by Bandtastic as a user-pay system, with Jane Nelson from Bandtastic working closely with the school to deliver a high-quality, inclusive program. Lessons are conducted in small groups throughout the school day to maximize student engagement and growth.

Our Concert Bands perform regularly at school events, compete in eisteddfods, and showcase their skills at various venues outside the school. A highlight of the year is the annual “band tour,” where students visit local schools to perform and share their passion for music. K.I.M.P has earned a stellar reputation, winning gold medals and receiving top accolades at competitions while fostering a sense of teamwork and fun among its members.

Let your child be part of the magic of K.I.M.P and experience the joy of making music together!
